Who we are
Seemanchal Public School, Knowledge Village, Raniganj, Araria - 854334, decides how the details you share on this website are used. This policy covers this website only. Records for students who join the school are explained at admission.
What we collect, and why
We collect details only when you choose to send a form:

We do not sell your details, and we do not use them for advertising.
Children
Only a parent or legal guardian should send a child's details through the admissions form. If you are under 18, please ask your parent or guardian to contact us. We do not use a child's details to track them or to target advertising at them.
Who receives your details
- School office: staff who need your details to reply to you.
- FormSubmit: this form service sends your form to the school by email.
- Google: forms arrive in the school's Gmail. Google also provides this website's fonts, and its map on the Contact page, so Google may receive your device's IP address.
- Netlify: this company hosts the website, and may keep technical records such as IP addresses.
- The authorities: if the law requires it.
These companies may store or handle details outside India. Links to Facebook, Instagram and YouTube take you to sites with their own privacy rules.
Cookies and analytics
The school does not add advertising or visitor tracking to this website. The Google map on the Contact page may set its own cookies when it loads.
How long we keep details
We keep enquiries for about one year after our last contact with you, because the law may require this, and delete them within 14 months. We may keep them for longer if your child joins the school or the law requires it. You can ask us to delete them sooner, and we will do so unless the law requires us to keep them.
Photos of students
We publish photos of children only with parental consent. To have a photo removed, contact the school office.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what details we hold about you, how we use them, and who we shared them with;
- correct, complete, update or delete your details;
- stop using your details, by withdrawing your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it;
- record a person who can use your rights for you if you die or cannot act for yourself.
Withdrawing consent does not affect what we did before. We will then stop using your details and delete them, unless the law requires us to keep them. Please give true details when you contact us.

We aim to reply within 30 days, and will reply within 90 days at most. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Keeping details safe
We limit access to people who need it. No website or email service is completely secure. If a data breach affects you, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update it here and change the date at the top. This policy is also available in Hindi and Urdu on this website. If you would like this notice in another language listed in India's Constitution, please contact the School Office.
